Crockpot Chicken Noodle Soup
This chicken noodle soup made in the slow cooker is easy and comforting. It's great for a cozy meal on a cold day.
Ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 8 cups chicken broth
- 4 carrots, sliced
- 4 celery stalks, sliced
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoons dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Salt to taste
- 8 oz egg noodles
Instructions:
Put chicken breasts in the crock pot
Put in the garlic, thyme, rosemary, parsley, black pepper, chicken broth, and other seasonings
Turn the heat to low and cook for 6 to 8 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours, until the chicken is done and the vegetables are soft
Take the chicken breasts out of the slow cooker and use two forks to shred them
Put the chicken shreds back into the slow cooker
Put egg noodles in the slow cooker and cook on high for another 30 minutes, or until the noodles are soft
Check the seasoning and make changes if needed
Enjoy while hot!
